Rugged Garmin Instinct Protective Cover Case

Yes. It’s shaped for the first-generation Garmin Instinct case, which the Standard, Tactical, Esports and Solar editions all share, including the Solar Camo and Surf. It isn’t made for the Instinct 2, 2S, 2X or 3, whose cases are a different shape. Check the back of your watch or its settings menu if you’re unsure which Instinct you have.

Very little. The case measures 48.5 × 50.2mm fitted, only a few millimetres larger than the Instinct itself, so it still sits comfortably under a sleeve. The soft silicone is lightweight, so the watch feels much the same on your wrist, just with a cushioned edge protecting the case and bezel.

Stretch the soft silicone gently over one edge of the watch, then ease it around the rest of the case until it sits flush. The cover wraps over the buttons too, and you press them through the silicone as normal. Removing it is just as easy, so you can swap colours whenever you like.

It’s made from soft silicone, which cushions the Instinct’s case, bezel and buttons against light bumps and scratches from everyday wear. The buttons stay fully usable, since you press them through the cover. It suits outdoor walks, tradework and gym sessions where the watch tends to knock against things, and it’s a protective layer rather than armour.

Slide the cover off and wipe it with a soft damp cloth or a wet wipe, then dry it before refitting. Wipe the watch case underneath at the same time, as dust and sweat can collect between the two. Avoid harsh chemicals and solvents, which can dull the silicone or make it sticky over time.
