Is this page for the original Fitbit Charge, or a newer Charge model?

This collection covers the original Fitbit Charge and the Fitbit Force, both from 2014, and stocks the charger cable they share. If your tracker is a Charge 5 or Charge 6, our Fitbit Charge 6 bands and Fitbit Charge 5 bands collections are the ones you want. The model name appears in the Fitbit app.

Do the Fitbit Charge and Fitbit Force use the same charger cable?

Yes. Both use the same charging clasp, so one replacement cable covers either tracker and there is no separate version to choose. The Charge HR that followed them switched to a two-pin terminal, covered by our Fitbit Charge HR accessories collection. Check the name printed on the back if you are unsure which you have.

Can I still get a replacement band for the original Fitbit Charge?

Not here - this collection stocks the charger cable only. The strap on the Charge and Force is moulded to the tracker body rather than clipping on, so there is no band to swap out. Our Fitbit bands collection covers the later models, from the Charge 2 onwards, which do take replacement straps.

Will a charger from a newer Fitbit work on my Charge or Force?

No. The Charge and Force use a unique male plug that locks into the tracker body, a design Fitbit dropped after 2014. Cables made for the Charge HR, Charge 2 or any later model will not connect, and no adapter bridges them. The cable on this page is the direct replacement for both.

My Charge will not start charging. Is the cable the problem?

Check the clasp seating first. The cable grips the tracker body rather than plugging in, so a loose or dusty connection is the usual reason charging will not start - wipe the contacts and reseat it firmly. If it charges on a borrowed cable, yours has worn out. If it will not hold charge at all, the battery has aged out.
