Will these bands fit the Instinct 2S or Instinct 2X Solar?

No. The three share a name but not a case size. The Instinct 2 is 45mm and takes 22mm bands, the Instinct 2S is 40mm and takes 20mm, and the Instinct 2X Solar is 50mm and takes 26mm. Our Garmin Instinct 2S bands and Garmin Instinct 2X Solar bands collections cover those two.

Does this fit the Instinct 2 Solar, Tactical and Surf editions?

Yes. The Instinct 2, 2 Solar, Tactical and Surf editions all use the same 45mm case and the same 22mm lug spacing, so one band fits any of them. The editions differ in bezel finish, solar charging ring and software features, none of which affect how a strap attaches.

How do I tell an Instinct 2 from an Instinct 2S or 2X Solar?

Measure the case rather than the screen. The Instinct 2 is 45mm across, the 2S is 40mm and the 2X Solar is 50mm and noticeably chunkier. The model name also appears in Garmin Connect under device settings. If your current strap measures 20mm or 26mm rather than 22mm, you do not have a standard Instinct 2.

I've upgraded to an Instinct 3. Will these bands fit?

Shop the collection built for it. The Instinct 3 comes in two case sizes taking different band widths, so buying by model name avoids a mismatch - our Garmin Instinct 3 bands collection covers both. Check the width of your current strap before ordering either way.

My band came off at the lug. Do I need new spring bars too?

Often, yes. The spring bars are the small sprung pins holding the band to the lugs, and they corrode or lose tension long before the watch does. Our standard replacement kit includes both the bars and the tool to fit them. Quick Change bands require you to have spring bars, which we sell separately if needed.
