Frequently Asked Questions

Will Fitbit Inspire 2 bands fit my Inspire 3?

No. Fitbit changed the band attachment at the Inspire 3, so bands made for the Inspire 2, Inspire HR or original Inspire will not fit. Our Fitbit Inspire 2 bands and Fitbit Inspire and HR bands collections cover those trackers, and every band on this page is made for the Inspire 3.

How do I tell an Inspire 3 from an Inspire 2?

Look at the screen. The Inspire 3 has a colour display, while the Inspire 2 is monochrome, and the Inspire 3's case is slightly wider with a rounded profile. The model name also appears under your device in the Fitbit app. It matters here, because the two generations take entirely different bands.

Does the Inspire 3 use the same charger as the Inspire 2?

No. The Inspire 3 has its own charger cable, listed on this page, and the Inspire 2 uses a different one that it shares with the Ace 3. Neither cable will connect to the other tracker. If you have several Fitbits in the house, label the cables - they look similar but are not interchangeable.

Can I wear the Inspire 3 off the wrist?

Yes. The belt clip fob case in this collection holds the tracker on a waistband, pocket or lanyard rather than the wrist, which suits work where a wrist band is a snag risk or not permitted. Our Fitbit clip and nurse fob collection covers the option for other models.

What is the difference between the Milanese and the stainless link band?

Both are steel, but they size differently. The Milanese is a fine mesh closing with a magnetic lock, so it slides to any point along its length and adjusts in seconds. The stainless link is a solid bracelet sized by removing links, heavier and more formal. The Milanese is the easier of the two to get on.
