How Do You Change a Garmin Lily Band?
Because the Lily uses screws instead of quick-release pins, swapping a band takes a couple of extra minutes, but it's still an easy job at the kitchen table. Garmin's own manual describes the same process:
- Lay the watch face-down on a soft cloth so the lens doesn't get scratched.
- Use the small hex tool (included with our bands and screw kits) to loosen the screw on each side of the band.
- Remove the screws and lift the old band away from the case.
- Line up the new band with the lug holes on the watch.
- Insert the screws and tighten them until snug. Firm is enough — overtightening can strip the tiny threads.
- Give the band a gentle tug on each side to confirm it's secure before wearing it.
One tip from experience: work over a tray or towel. The screws are tiny, and chasing one across floorboards is nobody's idea of fun.
