The Best Bluetooth Speakers for Your iPhone in 2020

The Best Bluetooth Speakers for Your iPhone in 2020

We've all been there; it's Halloween or your best friend's birthday and you've hosted a huge party. The kitchen is full to the brim with people and there's nowhere for anybody to sit. Everyone is having a wonderful time until the music cuts out.

You clamber over your guests to the mobile speaker you got for a few dollars and realize it has completely stopped working. This is the first time you've used it. You and your guests have to continue the party with only the awkward clammer of background conversation.

Slowly, your guests start to leave. You fall pitifully into a deflated beanbag, your wine suddenly tasting like swill. If only you'd done your research and bought the best loud Bluetooth speaker you could.

Don't let this happen again. We've scoured the web to find the absolute best iPhone Bluetooth speakers on the market (a market worth almost $6.5billion!) today, so you can host that next party in absolute confidence.

Best Loud Bluetooth Speaker: What Should You Lookout For?

There are several traits of a Bluetooth speaker that can tell you just how good, or bad, it is. These are the things you should look out for to ensure the speaker you're thinking of buying isn't a dud. It's different from, say, buying a Bluetooth handsfree kit for your car; you need to know what to look for, and what to avoid.

A reliable speaker should be lightweight; gone are the days when you'd look cool carrying a boombox on your shoulder. It should fit in a small bag, or be inconspicuous in your living room; big enough to emit sound, small enough for few to notice.

It should also have a strong range. The last thing you want is for the music to cut out when you move your phone to another room, especially if you invested in the new iPhone 11 pro so you know its the fault of the speaker.

Some of the higher quality speakers on the market might also have access to the radio if you'd rather leave music selection to an expert. Your speaker should also have reliable battery life. This means you can take it on the go and not have to have it plugged in at all times.

Most importantly, the speaker should be loud! Nobody wants to try and listen to the latest number 1 through a tinny, muffled speaker. If your speaker doesn't have a crisp sound and volume control, it's failing in its sole purpose.

Best Bluetooth Speakers on the Market Today

Now you know what you're looking for, consider these top-draw Bluetooth speakers available today.

The Sonos Move came out in 2019 and wowed speak-lovers in being Sonos' first speaker with its own battery, making it portable. The Sonos Move has an exceptionally good sound quality as well as other notable features. These include reliable wireless connectivity and Alexa/Google Home support.

There are some negatives to Sonos' latest model, however, as it is a fairly bulk piece of kit. This means that, though it is technically a portable speaker, you probably won't want to lug it with you to the park. It's also a pricey option at an RRP of $399 making it well out of many people's price range.

But if you're prepared to shell out for a quality home speaker that you can move easily into your garden, Sonos Move might be the best choice.

Another solid option is the Bose SoundLink Revolve which boasts full 360-degree sound. This is thanks to its unique design, with easy to reach button controls on the top of the device.

This is a sleek and slightly more affordable option than the Sonos Move, though the device does only have a 10-meter range. It also isn't fully water or dustproof, making it a more precarious speaker than some of the more durable options.

If you're concerned about breakage, you might be better off opting for the UE Boom 3, which also boasts 15 hours of battery life.

Best Cheap Bluetooth Speakers

If the above options are a bit out of your price range, don't fret. There are several other, cheaper, Bluetooth speaker options for your iPhone.

The Tribit XSound Go sells at just $33 a speaker, yet boasts a whopping 24 hours of playtime at a regular volume. The device also offers expansive sound and is water-resistant.

It does have some downsides; it can take some time to charge, and the quality of sound drops slightly at higher volumes. But for that price point, you'll be hard-pressed to find a better budget Bluetooth speaker today.

Another budget option is the JBL Go 2 speaker which has an RRP of around $30. The JBL Go 2 is also water-resistant and has a fairly substantial bass sound given the size of the speaker.

It has nowhere near as good of battery life as the Tribit though, surviving just 5 hours before dying. As such, it probably isn't the best choice for anyone who intends to be away from a charging point for a considerable amount of time.

JBL does make other speakers with stronger batter lives which may be preferable, though they come at a higher cost. They sell the JBL Xtreme 2 as well as the JBL Flip 5, which may have a more appealing design to some than the Go 2 box.

Finally, there's the Anker Soundcore. Anker recently sold its Christmas edition at an extreme discount, so keep an eye out for sales of its speakers in the future. This edition even had lights to give off a real party vibe whilst playing.
